Vesper had been optimistic about the damage when the hurricane had finally passed over the peninsula, believing that there’d be a few fallen trees and perhaps some damage to the already dilapidated mansion. It didn’t sound like anyone had been seriously injured in the old building, even though there had been a few branches going through windows and destroying the fence, but much of it had already been fixed. To her knowledge, none of Inferni’s scouting ravens had died either.

It became clear that, even as the sun came out, not everything was okay. There was a lot of damage all around, but what shook her was that Max had gone missing, along with Halo’s daughter. Having become fond of the white coydog, Vesper was shaken by the disappearance, though his scent hadn’t turned up. All she could do now was focus on the repairs that she could do, such as the archery stands she’d taken such care in camouflaging back in the spring.

Vesper strode beside her mottled brown sister, having adopted her Optime form as well for the work they’d have to do. She made a noncommittal sound when Sparrow spoke of her hopes, glancing across and down slightly at the youthful woman. “Hopefully we don’t need to repair the structures themselves,” she said, caring about the effort that’d mean rather than the more simple matter of weaving more leafy mesh. “Though Asher could help if it came to that.”

She trailed off there, considering that she’d been spending more time with the collie mix than her own sibling, though Sparrow had been relatively withdrawn especially during the great storm. Ves was guilty, though, knowing the number of other things and people that had taken her attention away from her kin.

“We might have to update the camouflage anyway,” Ves added with a smirk. “Bright green leaves might look a little suspect in the fall.”
