No amount of mental preparation could prepare her, she found. Of course, like most things, she learned the hard way. "Greetings." She said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. How did she go about this? She knew the basic acceptable social procedures but to actually get her lips to form the words that would answer his question...that was the hard part. She thought for a few moments, trying to think of a way to answer him without seeming...well, odd.

Oh, what if she had waited too long already? What if she had already screwed it up? "I hope to gain a place within New Dawn, sir." Surprisingly, she sounded stronger than she felt, granted her voice was still the same soft tone that it had been when that first word had slipped past her lips. She had enough sense not to say anything more, unless he asked for more. Briefly, she found herself wondering if an ability to project herself was a requirement.

By canine standards, she was only a year old. It wasn't like she made a practice of joining packs. If anything, up until recently, she had opted to avoid packs at all costs. Four months on her own had been miserable had been miserable at best and her only saving grace was that she knew how to fend for herself. Loneliness had taken hold nearly a month ago and now, she found herself caving into that desire to be part of a pack system once more, even though her very first experience had gone terribly wrong. Not even she was too prideful to refuse what came so naturally, the urges that drove her to do such things. If this didn't pan out, she'd just keep trying.
