in laughter, in strife

Adonvdo was somewhere back in the fields just outside the city, but Nvwadohiyadv and Dohi had been far too curious both to stay anywhere out of it. Never before had he seen something quite as interesting, and while it held an eerie air about it and was more foreboding than anything he had ever felt before, he was still drawn inward. There was a pocket here, a place where life stood still even while dilapidation increased with the growth of more weeds. The osprey that flew overhead was almost as uneasy as the lycan who walked among the ruin, but while his unease grew with every step further, the osprey's melted away. Perhaps she had spotted the place he was sensing.

By the time he found it, he already wanted to leave. The place calling his inner peace sanctity was, ironically, a cemetery. These, he knew to be places of the dead, and could almost not believe that the centre of tranquility here was among dead bodies. No matter; Dohi was fearful of very little, and when he did fear, he did everything possible to calm his core so that he wouldn't show it. Here he both feared and felt. The serenity and the calm called to him; the fact that he was lulled so by dead people was disconcerting.

Nonetheless, he hopped the fence where part of it had been cut away and entered the graveyard with the sole intention of sitting under the nearest tree and meditating where peace seemed to collect. Perhaps it was an omen that peace and tranquility were dead and no more, but he didn't believe that to be true. Nothing had happened since they had left their home that would give him such doubts.
