Barthélémy giggled quietly at the male's attempts, amused to see that he was not the only one having trouble with pronouncing foreign words. He supposed it would be more difficult for Dohi to try and pronounce his words, since one of the ways he spoke was so... different. It almost all sounded the same to Barthélémy, but he could detect a difference in a few words. At some points, Dohi had used words full of harsh sounds and consonants, but he had changed those words to other ones, ones that had the word 'tree' and 'ground' in them. Barthélémy liked those better-- they were easier to understand compared to the other things Dohi had said.
Barthélémy couldn't help but giggle again when Dohi attempted the sentence. Dohi seemed to like using the letter 's' and 'r' more than he needed to, and rather than pronouncing c'est as 'say,' he said it more like 'sess.' He wondered if it really did sound like that to someone else, and how much he was mangling the other's language. He nodded encouragingly when Dohi tried to pronounce ground in Barthélémy's tongue, finding it much easier. Barthélémy tilted his head, unsure what the male said, unable to differentiate one sound from another. "Ahm nawt verree goo-ood ah theeh..s gay-eem," he said, then giggled quietly. "Nose?" he asked. "Nez! he said cheerfully. "Nose, nez, nose, nez." He liked this word. It sounded a lot more like the way he said it.
