I'm left standing here, desperate in the cold.

It wasn't like Lexey to simply give up and walk away. When Adelaida didn't come, the Circee stood up and took a several steps in her direction. She didn't want to invade her sister's privacy, but she would have no problem doing so if it came down to it. Clearing her throat, she made her intentions clear. "I know you're there, and I'm not leaving until we talk." Her voice broke Serana Reserve's haunting silence once more, echoing throughout the area like an eerie lullaby.

Her rabbit-sized companion was there, she could smell him too now that she was a little closer. At first, Alexey felt a little betrayed by the chinchilla, having worried about him all this time. However, it didn't take her very long to figure out that he was better off with Adelaida. The tawny femme wouldn't have been able to take care of him during the war. It was a cruel world, and Alexey was starting to see this.

After what seemed like an eternity, her alter ago stepped out of hiding. Golden eyes promptly caught sight of her injuries, lingering over the smallest wounds before travelling up to the bigger one on her chest. She simply stood there, unable to speak. It was as if someone had knocked the wind out of her. Just like the last time they had seen each other, Adelaida was sporting new cuts and bruises.

Alexey didn't know what irked her the most; the fact that her littermate hadn't come to her for help, or that she was currently acting as if everything was under control. Adelaida's question was sharp and cocky, only fueling the fire ignited within her amber counterpart. Curling her upper lip into a snarl, she tried to remain as calm as possible. "I wanted to see you. Good thing I decided to stop by, because you obviously can't take care of yourself." So much for the happy family reunion.

"Who hurt you?" The look in her eyes made it clear that she wouldn't settle for a bullshit answer.
