_____The words that the wolf screeched at Corona barely got recognition because by that time she was furious at the fact that she had gotten jumped herself. Though the wolf had let go of her arm to position herself to make a better attack, Corona now was able to get to her pouch and retrieve a knife with a curved blade. It was well worth the pain that radiated in her bleeding arm as she gripped it, and even more so from the sharp blow across her face from her assailant.

_____But now the gold-haired Lykoi felt like her luck was about to change. Even while the Dahlian may have been merely inches from her face, she brought that curved blade up towards the wolf, but not to stab. Not even to cut her with it, but to hold it firmly against her neck, knowing as a second nature where a very vital vessel of blood ran just underneath the fur and thin flesh. Taking necessary blows was just apart of the plan, but the look that slipped into Corona's eyes as she brought them to meet the wolf were far more calm and alive than the anger she found in the gold.

_____“How much is your life worth?” she asked, unaware of just how calm her voice was. Part of her knew that she could have very easily flicked her wrist and then it wouldn't have mattered how much biting and clawing and tearing she left the other wolf do. All of it would be worth it, because the more movement she made, the harder her little heart would pump, and the faster the life would run from her body. And all it took was a cut that wasn't any wider or deeper than an couple of inches.
