indentIt took her a couple seconds to figure out what was going on. First she had scented Gabriel, but she thought it was just his scent still on her. She had not realized it was him in the door before he came barging through it. Startled she stared at him eyes wide and scared, was she doing something wrong? Then she realized he must have been following her for a while. Phoenix was like a brother to her, but he did not understand that. She had never taken the time to explain that too him. The connection they had, everything they had in common. Gabriel was the love of her life and she did not want him to think so lowly of her.

indentBut, he had pushed her out of the way. She slipped on the wooden floor and fell to the ground, staring up at him dumbfounded then looking at Phoenix scared. She tried to tap into his mind and explain this was not any sort of ambush, because he had thrown an accusing glare. Faolin knew that he realized just how much of a surprise this had been for her. There was a bit of hostility between the two packs, would this lead to some kind of war? That was the worst thing she feared at the moment. There were so many nice wolves in Storm, what could she do though?

indentFaolin leaped to her feet quickly and tried to throw herself onto Gabriel's back to peel him off Phoenix, but it was too no avail. The two of them tumbled out of the way and the Mogotsi child could only stare at the two of them, fear gripping her heart. She did not want either of them hurt, not because of something stupid she had done. "GABRIEL! Please! Stop! For me. I SWEAR TO GOD THERE IS NOTHING BETWEEN US," she started to cry and fell to her knees as she watched the two of them, Gabriel trying to hurt Phoenix while Phoenix tried to defend himself. They were both much bigger than she was and she would not make a difference. She could only watch through her blurred vision in horror at what she had caused.
