Cwmfen was looking forward to hear Mew sing, as she was curious as to what type of melodies these lands harbored. She realized suddenly that she had never heard a song in these lands. She found that to be strange, as the song was a powerful tool for history and morale where she originated—at least her mother had said. The female tried to remember the songs from her childhood, but found that she could only remember the tune and not the words. Of course, it did not really matter, for true music told a tale from the notes alone. In times of great anxiety and fear, Cwmfen would find herself humming, finding solace in the history of her culture. With Cercelee’s request for Mew’s song, the black female hoped that she would learn of this culture as well.

It appeared that the official meeting had ended. The female took a quick sweep of the place, wondering what was supposed to happen next and feeling lost. Social situations had never been her highlight, and she felt awkward, especially because most of the members were unfamiliar to her. She remained distanced, feeling better that way, looking only when the wine was passed to her. Quickly, she passed it to the next member, for she was not fond of alcohol at all. She hated the taste of it, and it only made her vulnerable to whoever was trying to steal her meal—at least it had been that way when she had been on her own. And such habits tended to stick.

When she saw that Cercelee had gone to shift, she too moved out of the circle of light to change. If she was going to eat—and she decided that she was indeed hungry—she would need to change. It just seemed to make more sense to eat in lupus form, and it was easier too. Having changed, she returned to the circle, climbing onto the bench, and found that the white Rosea had already returned, and Cwmfen was once again reminded of her own newness. Already, the ceremony of the alpha eating first had already been completed (a ceremony that instilled both comfort and fear into her heart). For some reason, this dampened her mood, and her ears flattened against her head as she lay her head upon her paws. The white orbs watched the glowing fire absently.... And suddenly, Mew was playing her music. The woad-marked female lifted her crania, listening intently to the music that poured forth. The humming added more than words could have, and she felt suddenly as if she knew the stories of these lands, as if she had always been a part of them. Her soul was eased by the sound of that melody, and a easy smile flickered on her lips.

"That was beautiful," she offered quietly, as if afraid to offer the compliment. Her words were nearly inaudible, but it seemed irrelevant whether or not the words were heard by anyone else. Did it matter to the other what she thought? She wondered that sincerely. At least, she decided, her own thoughts were important to herself. And that would have to be enough for now.

The white orbs looked once more at each of the members, and she felt a new appreciation for them. As her gaze made a sweep, they fell upon the females, then upon Slay, and last upon Haku. She considered the Lilium for a few extra moments before her attention was averted by the food. Then she took some for herself and distracted her mind with the delicious meat that would satisfy her craving.
