Just another Samhain bonfire
#2
DaVinci knew what was coming, he had duties to his pack and family now and he was fufilling both of those as much as he could. Now he was setting out down the dirt road with the two youngest members of the pack hot on his tail. He'd learned to relax a little with the two and actually allow them to frolic and play in the meadows along the way. He smiled ac he caught the scent of smoke on the winds, the leader's had obviously begun the celebration a bit early, but he didn't mind. If Phoenix Valley was anything like any other pack he knew the members would slowly be pouring in along the way.

Skylar and Tyrone actually had bypassed their father as they came close to the field where the bonfire was to be held, the Shaman was there by scent, his mother he couldn't scent yet but knew the woman would be along soon. He knew she was with child, hell, everyone could see that by now but he doubted that it was just yet time for the children to be brought into this world. He found it funny trying to explain to his children that he was about to become a brother again and that they would be neice and nephew to the new puppies. He shook his head as he followed the two into the field and moved forward to greet the Shaman.

"'Evening Deuce.. Fine night.." He of course knew the meaning of the holiday they celebrated, having spent time as a member of one of the irish clans he had learned their history and holidays at the knee of the elders. Firefly had known more than he did and probably always would, she'd taken like a pup to the tit when they spoke of the mystics and mysteries of the isles. DaVinci could respect their ways, but he was no shaman and he was no priest. He believed that Firefly would have followed the lead of the priestess if she'd had free reign to stay in the lands.. but when they'd departed she'd come as well. Family did seem to have some priority over passion.. atleast with the small band there had been.

He stretched out his long legs and watched the two as they moved along sniffing one log then another as if trying to figure out which place was going to have the best view and closest spot to all the excitement. He shook his head and remembered how once he too was the same way, right in the middle of all the glam and glitter of the packmeets, no matter how important or dull the meetings really were. He surely couldn't claim that now as he settled down near Deuce to enjoy the warmth of the fire upon his silvery pelt.
