My, how things had changed. One moment, she'd been in a happy state. The next, the packlands were bright with the flames that her brother had caused. At that point in time, Aurèle had not been sure just what to do. Worried of her future? Not really. She'd gotten drunk a few times in an attempt to forget the insanity that her brother had caused. Indeed, she'd even hung around the packlands for days after the burning, where she'd tried to pick out her posessions to no avail. Aurèle traveled for quite awhile, picking up the pieces of her shattered life, learning as much as she could, teaching herself to read and write. But finally, Aurèle had had enough and forced herself to do something she'd hope she would never have to -- crawl her way to Jaded Shadows, where she'd heard that her sister now led, and ask for acceptance.

She'd admit it, she and Tayui had never really gotten along. Different in more ways than one, the two sisters were always battling it out and Aurèle came up on top more often than not. But those days had been over long ago. Her sister was actually found to have something inside of her head and made something real of her life. She was even a real leader now. It seemed unfair to Aurèle, who had become so used to being better than her sister at everything. And how difficult it would be now, as she headed towards the great mountain that belonged to her sister's pack, to come and ask for acceptance from her own sister.

But alas, Aurèle had always been a proud little thing and she refused to let her sister get the better of her. So, with her head held high, she made her way towards the packland. Up on the mountain, dull as it was, the trees were bare with winter and a light snowfall had left its mark on the territory earlier. There was a chill to the air that Aurèle enjoyed. Winter had always been her favorite season, so light and gentle, yet deadly if one was unprepared. Coming upon the border of the pack, she waited for someone to come across her, hoping dearly that it would not be her sister, for to face her after so long would be a difficult task indeed.
