Nani didn't know if it was the right kind of reaction for this sort of situation, but she couldn't help but laugh at Garnet's antics. Salem looked a little confused, unsure of why Garnet was smacking the water and about why his mother was laughing about it. Wasn't it bad to hit things? That was what he had always learned, anyway. But maybe water didn't count? He didn't know.
"The net...the net would be great." She chuckled, passing the object over to the younger female. "You should bring the fish over to the dry shore before you try to get it off the hook, or it can fall back into the water. They're kind of tricky like that" She looked to her own still line. "If we wait for a few minutes, they'll come back. But they're kind of skittish, too--they can hear some things that we're doing above the water, I think."
