reflections turn my heart to stone

The voice that pierced through his histerics was almost enough to actually make him stop dead, and yet his fear was still strong. He could hear the words that Jefferson was saying and he wanted to believe them but he'd seem the damage done to the Matriarch and he knew it would be a miricle of the lady survived. He opened his mouth to snap back at Jefferson for the words he spoke but before he was given the chance to speak up Deuce appeared and the silvery hybrid froze. The weariness of the woman shone through as she announced that there was nothing left she could do.

DaVinci glanced towards Jefferson, licking his dry lips nervously as he asked. "Is she going to be ok?" He didn't want to see her, he was afraid to, but he wanted to know what he was to say to his children now who were sitting outside on the porch waiting to seem what had happened and what exactly was going on. He knew that they weren't stupid, that they'd seen the blood and they'd seen everyone gathering around Iskata.. he just didn't know where their pintsized minds had taken their assumptions. Actually he really didn't want to know, he knew how strong a child's imagination could be.
