He shuddered at her one word response, almost afraid to see the expression that had claimed the features on his friend’s face. He shouldn’t have let anything slip. He shouldn’t have said a word. But what was done, was done. And Savina looked enraged. It was only a matter of seconds, and the Lieutenant General was shifting down. What was she doing? Pilot watched with stunned eyes, then something hit him. He was suddenly afraid. "Don’t do anything irrational!" He said, surprising himself by just how rational his words seemed to be. But he knew nothing he said could change a thing. Hybrid had unleashed an entirely different kind of monster now.
