’Cold beyond frozen things…’
Garnet padded along in the twilight, snow falling softly onto her back. She hadn’t remembered winter; she had only been a few months old the last time it had been around. The coyote left deep impressions in the snow behind her because she was in her Secui form, the thick mane fell around her neck and shoulders, helping to keep her warm. She couldn’t image that anyone else would be out in this weather, alone. Garnet herself was heading back to the mansion and hopefully to Jazper’s warm embrace. The she-yote sighed happily and would have given a little twirl if she had two feet. It was funny to remember how apprehensive she had been to gain her Optime form when she had been younger, it all seemed silly now.

Garnet paused for a second to look at the falling snow around her and sat down near some trees. At least there she had some protection from the cold breeze that was attacking her. The canine settled down and curled up a bit, putting her tail over her back feet and resting on her side. A curious thought went through her head as she wondered whether it was better to lie on the snow, thus being protected from the wind, or avoid it. Which was colder? Another gust made the coyote shiver and puff up and she decided that the former was the correct action to take. Maybe she would ask Jaz about it when she got back, he always seemed to know so much more than she…
