where there was once nothing

Firefly almost growled at the words the puppy had said his smart mouth reminding her of another. "Allow the stupid beasts to do the labor, you'll only grow fat and lazy pup.." she said with a grin and sat down in the snow close to where the male's seemed to be at rest from his workout. She stared at the small amout of grass he'd uncovered and cut for the animals. She flicked her ears at his words and a small smile appeared on her lips as she admitted. "There's a pack in these lands that seem to feel the same way, though for the most part they keep stranger prey penned up than these even." The cattle, sheep and pigs were the weirdest things that Firefly had seen but they weren't anything she had to deal with on a daily basis, they weren't in her pack. "It could be easier on you to find out if they've any spare hay.. " she suggested, knowing that winter wasn't the best time to be slaving away to keep the food fed.

She watched as he turned towards the young one and if he was there to help. She smiled and gave him a small wink as she chuckled, "Of course.. that makes it harded to find work for the young ones too I guess." The normally dark and dangerous lady seemed in a strange mood today, sure it was wise not to show your true nature when it wasn't always the one that made people feel at ease around you, but normally she didn't care. Well, atleast this change in moods was good for her pack, for the day.
