where there was once nothing

Firefly couldn't help but notice the nervous glances and lingering looks the male made, as though he were still but a young child fresh from puppyhood and just learning about the opposite sex. She thought it was such a pity that she was currently in a state that she couldn't bring even more of a blush to his cheeks or a stammer to his words. Perhaps at a later date or time she could try. There was always later and she did so love to see the males turn into awkward little boys when she flicked her tail their way. The thoughts that lingered in her head made her smile slightly as he gave her his name. She stored it away in the back of her mind along with memory of the shy but sturdy male that graced her presence. She could find a place for him in time, she knew she could.. if she dared.

When he'd thanked her for the information she'd granted him she just shook it away with a pass of her head and a soft smile. "It really is nothing.." she said with that soft irish tenor as she ducked her head down a moment. It really was nothing to her, he would be pestering Phoenix Valley, not Dahlia de Mai and her mother would probably have to answer to their pleads, and if she knew the foolish woman she'd give them everything they wanted and more. Her little smile stayed upon her lips as she raised her emerald orbs and tossed her bangs from her face with a tilt of her head when finally he granted her the brief history of their pack, or tribe as they called it.

The coppery gold woman who was thought a minor goddess of sorts by others, for reasons few knew but if given the chance she'd make the silly title more believeable in the future. She had a mate who would turn a tail without a second thought, why she couldn't do the same, well after the puppies were born into the world maybe she'd show him just what she could do. With the knowledge of the tribe he seemed to seek out her gaze, something it seemed that the male had been avoiding the whole time. She smiled softly as she nodded, those sparkling gems meeting his own eyes as she spoke. "Perhaps when the seasons grow warmer you will find how pleasant the lands.. and the wolves of the territory can be.." Her eyes danced as she teased the male slightly, wondering if he could catch onto her gest. She loved the awkwardness that he posed, and a leader none the less!
