no void to fill

-someone who knows Isk, doesn't matter who.. poor Zana.. I'm so cruel to y characters..-

The elder Sadira wolf had been dozing before the hearth again. It was like the woman didn't even know where her own den within the cottage was anymore. Her nest had laid empty for days, the cold having seeped into the very blankets except for the small spot where Zana's rosy sand hued eyes stared at the great silver and gold beast. She was often kept away from the larger grumpy wolf when there were others in the home but DaVinci and Skylar had disappeared and been gone for a bit of time. The small pup had no clue where the others had gone but she was growing cold and the warm hues of the other's coat looked so inviting that before she could even think about anything that might changer her mind her tiny rump was wiggling and soon her thin little legs had wobbled her out of the blankets and across the room towards the sleeping figure of Iskata.

Her ears twitched lightly in the warmth of the fire as she dreamed of sunlight on her pelt and the alpha rock she'd spent so much time sunning on in her time as a member of Clouded Tears. Paws dangling over the edge as she'd sleep away the afternoon til evening took over and the world faded fast into fireflies and dusky haze. There had been so much happiness there in those strange lands, pain and sorrow, but happiness as well. The warm memories mixed with the heat from the fire made her paws twitch as a soft smile seemed to linger on her lips.

Tiny paws carried a small frame tittering and tottering across the wooden floor, the closer she drew the warmer the air became. The tiny girl grew excited suddenly, her small rump wiggling happily as she slipped and slid closer and closer towards the female. Her eyes sparkled in the firelight as she circled the large slumbering wolf, her eyes watching the muzzle of the elder creature twitching as suddenly she found herself distracted by those twitching whiskers. Without so much as a warning the small golden red frame pounced on her mother who was secretly disguised as a stranger, her little nails and teeth worrying at the nose and muzzle of the poor sleeping Iskata.

The brilliantly sparkling world was suddenly replaced with acid, smoke, darkness and pain. She snarled in panic and snapped her head up. Attempting to backpedal away from the pain that had suddenly disappeared she was thrown into a state of confusion as suddenly the screaming and smell of singed fur and flesh filled the air. Iskata had no clue what was going on or what had just happened but the horrible screaming sound wouldn't end, so she did the only thing she could and howled mournfully as she crashed into a table and wedged herself into the corner between the wall and couch.

She'd only wanted tp play with the strange wolf who seemed to be so warm and cuddly, she hadn't known that she would make the stranger angry. She wouldn't have come so close if she'd thought she would be in trouble.. but yet before she could even be scowled she found herself flung into the air by the end of the wet nose of the silver and gold wolf. Zana landed with a spark of flames and embers in the middle of the fireplace, the logs scattering as suddenly everything was too warm and she found herself writhering in pain. Falling onto the stones before the fireplace the small puppy wailed and yowled as she twisted to and fro, her small mouth gaping open as the horrible sound filled the world she'd once known in a simple yet happy nature.
