__Out of character speech.

Pepe hated to be stuck this way. It seemed as though he had to make a choice, a choice between his mother and her small puppy. But there really wasn't any choice to make. Although his heart ached to go to Iskata and to embrace her, his duty was clearly with the small Zana. She couldn't help herself. He hoped Iskata would come out of the despair he heard in her voice, but for now he had to focus on more important matters.

He looked down at Zana's beautiful little face. She was so obviously scared. He wished that Davinci was there to comfort her. He would know what to do. But he didn't know where to find DaVinci, and he had no idea who Naniko was. That left the yellow and blue eyed white lady he had met before.

He threw his head back and let a howl ring out into the sky. It rang clear as a bell, the sound resonating on the wind. He called for help, whoever could and would give it. He didn't know the best place to take Zana, but here seemed to be the best place to stay. The cottage was a well known pack area. Someone would come. Someone had to. If not, he'd take Zana whereever he needed to.
