Dampwoods

Dabi had placed lavender ribbons on her tail that day and they wrapped all the way from the middle to the tip where the tiny bit of fluff waved in the air. He'd placed a nice big bow on the end and the little hybrid girl twitched her tail back and forth, making the ribbons snap in the slight breeze as she wrinkled her nose. The small girl liked the ribbons but she'd also once liked her fluffy tail, now she mourned it daily. She was awfully young to start being vain, but she'd really, really, really, liked her beautiful silky tail. Her oversized ears were pinned back against her skull as she stared down at her knobby knees and oversized paws. She had decided that she was going to run away that morning after Dabi and Jebbers had sent her outside to play.

The scary scarred up monster had been grumbling away in the corner that morning and Zana had swore that she'd been glaring at her with those pinkish white orbs again. A shiver slide down her back as she sat in the middle of the woods all alone. She knew she could always follow her paws back to the packlands but she didn't want to go back there, she wanted to get far far away from the monster that stalked her dreams. She sniffled to herself as she pawed at her little ribbonwrapped tail and closed her greyed lilac eyed. She was a big girl, she wasn't going to cry. Dabi and Jebbers never cried, she was a little lady all grown up now. This had been her choice.
