Geneva knew the boundary lines of Crimson Dreams like the back of her hand. Smiling, she remembered the first time she had stumbled upon these borders. She had been so filled with hope at the time. And through this winter, that hope had been fulfilled so many times over. She breathed in deep. The air was chilled with the breath of winter, but she found that she still loved the cleansing quality. Everything seemed so clean and bright amidst the blanket of white. At first she had believed that she would dislike the winter and the cold, but she had learned to love the way her home wore the white mantle.
The small boned wolfess looked delicate against all that way, grayscale as the sky. She still found it hard to believe that after such a short time, she was so enmeshed and entrenched in this way of living. It wasn't something she had ever expected, but now she embraced each day, glad to be of use to her pack. And some of these wolves had become as close as her own family, closer even. A small smile spread her lips when she thought on Anu and Haven especially. She had bonded closely with them.
She was patrolling as usual, although now she had new duties as Lieutenant. Still, she couldn't break the habit of starting her day by walking the boundary lines, if only take in the scenery and happen upon one of her pack mates. Geneva did not possess a reliable sense of smell and relied keenly on her eyesight. And her lime green eyes raised as she spotted a gray form in the distance.
She walked unhurriedly toward it, and realized that it was a lone male. He seemed neutral enough, and so Geneva regarded him as such. She noted with approval that he had not broken the boundary lines. She came to stand in front of him, ears forward and lime green eyes bright. "What brings you here?"
