And here it is, my dear. Elliot's rambling ...bumbling debut. It's awful, and it's all for you. <3

He'd be lying if he said he wasn't a little disappointed. Not over this place, he supposed – but his timing wasn't exactly precise. And yeah, okay, the place wasn't where he had originally hoped to stumble across. But how the hell was he supposed to know that the original Bleeding Souls lands had been destroyed in some raging inferno? It wasn't as if they had resurrected the human technology that enabled them to send news over far distances. Compelling, certainly- but damning as well. Elliot was fond of many human inventions, but he was suspicious of most. Anything that became too complex or unnecessary he shied away from, fearing the eventual end that would surely befall them if they became too much like humans. He loved his tools and he loved to build things, but his interest didn't stretch much further beyond that. And while Elliot definitely had plans to build a kick-ass tree fort (he loved to watch the stars at night), there would also be a den dug alongside the large tree he selected come spring. It didn't make much sense to struggle with frozen earth when he could spend time building a perfect structure, nestled all comfortably in his magnificent tree.

As far as he could tell, the area was more or less deserted. He wasn't sure, but Elliot suspected that someone lived a little ways west of him, beyond a stand of trees and down a slope by some cemetery. He could see the top of a building from where he stood, but hadn't investigated much further. It was more important to establish himself here before he went off to meet the neighbours – although he wasn't sure if he'd want to hang around with someone who spent time with the dead. Quiet or not, graveyards were creepy.

In any case, the semi-isolated area was conducive to the way he worked. Seeing as he planned to use the tree house for stargazing, Elliot preferred to carry on with his work in the evening. He was able to see where the best views were, and build from there.
Elliot lifted a large plank of wood and moved it closer to his tree, leaning it against the trunk while squinting at the sky above. He leaned backwards just slightly, massive shoulders dipping along in the movement while a ridiculously muscled are rested on what would be part of his fort's roof. Yeah, he was buff. He was definitely handsome too – but that was where his charm ended. He could move well while he was at work, doing what he loved most; but as soon as the male was plunked into any normal situation he was a bumbling fool, hulking and uncoordinated. It certainly seemed as if he'd inherited all the traits Piper found endearing in Emilio; while her own grace and lithe movements were a source of great envy for most of the Oriel males. There was no one to find Elliot's clumsiness endearing, and Piper's attempts to teach her son to move gracefully were all in vain. He was an oaf. It didn't end there, either. He enjoyed banter greatly, appreciating a good dose of sarcasm whenever appropriate. But when it came to the ladies, he was tongue-tied. Poor Elliot. So perhaps it was a good thing he'd chosen this lonely spot to live – he could do what he loved and be perfectly acceptable in that and when it came to the regular clumsy stuff, no one would see him.

Definitely a good thing. He thought as he hoisted the plank up and onto the tree fort's floor. From there the male pulled himself easily into the tree, his beloved tool belt clanking cheerful around his waste. He pulled a rather stern looking hammer from the belt and held it in one hand while the other propped up the would-be roof, nails sticking out of his mouth while his eyes assessed the situation with a business-like manner. But as he hammer away, ears delighting in the loud banging that rang from the tree, a devoted smile twisted his lips.
