With a calculated step, she pressed him down onto his side, careful to avoid bringing him fully down upon his feet, which could result in a sprained or broken ankle. But she did pin him down into the black ash, creating another cloud that was thrown into the air and that captured the light of the golden sun.
After holding him down for several long moments, the female relinquished her position, rising and allowing him to rise. She made it clear that she would not attack again, and that this little test was over. The she-wolf’s tail wagged several times in an amiable manner as she smiled, turning to face the younger coyote. “You have demonstrated you’re skill well, Ezekiel.” The alto melody was warm as she spoke. Indeed, it seemed that this boy was not even weighed down by the arrogance with which so many struggled with. And then, the female thought of something else, perhaps a hope of fulfilling Cercelee’s efforts to create good relations between Dahlia de Mai and Inferni. “I’d like for us to meet again sometime.... Perhaps we will be able to continue to teach each other.”
