He chuckled slightly at his brother's words; Heath was one of few that could bring a chuckle to the habitually stern wolf that was Gaël. The teal-eyed boy had a shallow sense of humor, perhaps, but it wasn't like Gaël to crack jokes or laugh at a passing whim. He was just down-to-earth, that was all. Heath wasn't quite his opposite--actually, they balanced each other out rather well, while they two boys had had their conflicts and disagreements plenty, but it was expected out of siblings. Miriette, as the middle child, had both served as a sometimes mediator and as the sister that was simply told to "stay out of it" when it came to their arguments... mostly because the two brothers hated to get her upset somehow. Heath found it a challenge when arguing with Gaël, while the eldest brother found it rather tiring and a waste of time. In his own opinion, he was usually right. He used his nonchalant replies in arguing to get Heath all worked up, while Heath could simply be annoying and pushy to test his brother's patience. They could argue all they wanted, but Heath and Miriette were still the only two that had ever really been able to enjoy Gaël in a sociable, good mood.
So that was why he was goofing off. He'd already been around everywhere, supposedly; Gaël wasn't sure to believe such a statement or not, but shrugged it off as nothing. "Peut-être, elle a trouvé quelqu'un avec des réponses. Je ne suis pas inquiété." His eyes strayed to the split wood that was splayed around on the ground, quietly observing his brother's odd sense of fun and remembering how strangely but easily excitable he was. He paused for a moment, recalling any at all information he'd picked up on since their last separation, but nothing came to mind. The land was barren for answers. "Rien. J'ai trouvé quelqu'un qui parle le français comme nous... Mais, c'est tout."
