I fail

The air held the tone of spring. As strong as the winter would allow, the sun shone over them and sent her heat to those the sat beneath her. A calm sky of blue and white lingered around the orb, clouds barely touching or even treating to cast a shadow. The wind stayed absent, letting the warmth seep into his short coat and spread along his shoulders. Short mane of fur stood along his crown, folding slightly to one side under its own weight. Black tinted fingers racked through it, keeping the stragglers from his eyes. It was annoying to have the strands loose, but they didn’t seem to grow any longer then their current state and no binding would keep from wandering into his view.

The thin male had made his way north, following the scents that floated from the pack lands. Familiar with one, holding the younger male he had met, it was the second that he was drawn to. Still, Heath kept his distance. There was no pack in his future, or at least that he was aware of. His only plan was to find his brother or sister, at least it was the general guideline. The day had been too nice to spend investigated, and instead the tawny lean wolf found his optime form more suitable. He kept away from it most of the time, knowing that his stature was accentuated, but it was functional and a change when the landscape was growing boring. He would rather stay to four paws to keep him from looking small, but there were moments were he just didn’t care. Or at least tried to.
