he growled, taking a step back. At first, it appeared as though he would flee the scene, and he debated that option with himself, but backing out like a coward quickly became a bad idea. Instead, he did the worst thing he could have done in that instance.
He hopped forward the few steps to close the gap between he and the leader, and flung himself at Gabriel, snarling and hoping to catch the bigger hybrid near the throat with his jump.
