He laughed. They always laughed. Always so hard that it seemed to bring tears to their eyes so that Noir did not know if they were actually crying or not. She never laughed until she cried. Why was that? Seemingly she was very different from her other siblings. They all had stranger markings on them as well, and other eye colours. Hers was still the same baby blue that they all had been born with, but seemingly all her siblings had lost the blue rather quickly and gained some extra visible personalities because of their cool unique looks. There were few wolves without visible markings, and in that sense Noir Aston was special, but she felt dull compared to her colourful siblings. Sometimes (and with a great deal of guilt included), she recognized envy and jealousy float through her system on a dark gray cloud. She was just pale brown and those stupid blue eyes. They all laughed at her and her beloved Toefur. Well, couldn't really be helped. To be honest, her rather boring look did not bother the girl significantly, it was just a source of some pondering every once in a while. She was not shallow (at least not yet, in that case), and she liked that her siblings were so different and colourful. None looked quite like Tayui. Noir wondered why that was. She could no longer see Attila's laughter and tears, but she could still hear it, even after she had slid down into the darkness of the den. She remained silent and motionless, and after a while the laughter stopped.

Noir did not always think things through. It would be a smart ting to do in the future. The girl was surprised how well she managed to play dead. Her intention had been to create more joy and laughter. He had scared her, and so she could scare him, but the girl easily got doubts. Her mind was simple, but it was able to create a lot of mess for her. When she heard the boy inhale in a more serious manner, she regretted the whole thing. She wanted to get up and say that it was okay, she came back from the dead, but she did not quite dare to do that either. How well would Attila handle this when he figured out that she had tricked him in return? Would he get mad and angry? Would he hurt her? Noir did not want to get hurt, even if it was well deserved. Now it was too late, and she remained still and 'dead', unable to determine what would be the smartest solution. Her pale brother talked, and the girl wanted to whimper (but managed not to). She was now being cruel to him, a thing she already had promised herself that she would not. She wanted to be nice and only nice. Her fear was to pick up one of the less decent traits from her dominant siblings. He was close, so so close, she cold not pretend anymore. Her eyes opened and her body twisted so that her legs found grounds under them. Then she darted for the exit of the den. She had scared her pale sibling, and so she was almost certain that he would get angry and mean once he fully realized that she had played a trick right back at him.

Toefur was forgotten and left for dead near the den, untouched. Noir raced into the outskirt of the wood, screaming in a sort of excited fright. Her emotions were mixed up. It was still a bit funny that she had tricked him, but she did not like the way she had done it because it had made him a bit scared. Why couldn't things be either fun or not fun? Everything had to be so complicated, it seemed. Eventually she hid behind a tree, her little chest moving rapidly in order to provide her body with enough oxygen. Was Attila angry? Was she in trouble?
