For the times, they are a-changin'

Kansas didn't know about the meeting; Savina hadn't told him that she was going to call the pack together. He was consequentially surprised when, outside searching for something small to eat, her melodious voice drifted toward him. Of course, it wasn't intended simply for him—the call was for the entire pack. Curious, Kansas abandoned his task and jogged toward the house, his slender limbs taking him quickly to the front porch of the manor. He wanted to get there early for once; he always seemed to arrive at meetings last, or close to.

When he quietly entered the house, he saw his three leaders already gathered there; Naniko's pale daughter and a male he didn't recognize were also present. Kansas' gaze first lit upon his mate, noticing how round she was getting, and how beautiful she was. He grinned and moved toward her for a tentative kiss, nuzzling her cheek and whispering into her ear, "Hey there, lovely." It wasn't his place to stay beside her. He nodded to his other alphas before moving back to sit facing them, reclining upon his haunches when he found a comfortable spot. He'd perhaps be more a part of this meeting than any before it, because while she probably had other things to tell the pack, he was pretty sure Savina was going to announce her pregnancy. The boy couldn't stop smiling.
