A few more Crimson Dreams wolves arrived, including Ehno, who, to Kansas's surprise and happiness, sat beside him. The idea that his brother-in-law would choose to take a place near him made him feel like perhaps he could be even more deeply integrated into his mate's family. He turned his grateful smile toward the chocolate male before looking around as the others came, placing themselves around the room before the two leaders. When everyone who was going to arrive had done so, Savina cleared her throat and began to speak.

Kansas got the jitters when she did as he'd expected and told the pack about their puppies. His grin widened, but he kept his gaze on his lover. He wondered how the pack would take the news - if they'd be excited, or just happy. The puppies would mean a little extra work on the part of the pack, but hopefully they wouldn't mind. They'd at least do it for Savina, because she deserved no less. Kansas felt a swoop of emotion in his belly. He could have cried had his pride not prohibited such. If possible, his puppies' arrival seemed more thrilling now that everyone else knew about it, too.

Savina continued on about keeping up good relations with all of the packs in the area. Kansas (of course) didn't pay attention to things like that, but he also wasn't one to cause problems. Nonetheless, the topic was important, and he followed his mate's gaze to a large husky with eyes of crimson and wondered if he had prompted the announcement.
Finally, Savina gave the floor to Naniko. Kansas watched his pale leader and friend, half-expecting what came. Sure enough, Anu was given a promotion to the leader ranks. She looked surprised; he flashed her a quick grin, subtly mouthing a "Congratulations."
