Finding a needle in a haystack would’ve probably been less problematic. Wherever those puppies were, finding them would not be an easy task. Most of her pack mates were searching all over for them and yet, not a single member had any clue as to where they could possibly be. How could children simply vanish into thin air? It had been six days since their disappearance; time was running out. Lexey wondered how Firefly and Haku were handling this whole ordeal but at the same time, she didn’t really want to know. The Koios girl was angry with both of them even though she had no valuable reason to be. Her anger had to be directed somewhere and the children’s parents happened to be the most logical people to blame.
Alexey did not know if anyone had taken the time to alert the neighboring packs. It seemed like a smart thing to do. Deuce had spoken of her former pack somewhere along the coast and that’s where the tawny girl was headed. Phoenix Valley. Last time she’d ended up there, someone by the name of Jefferson had greeted her at the borders. She remembered him quite well: he was an odd yet intriguing fellow.
Halfway there, a familiar scent invaded her nostrils. It belonged to a man she hadn’t seen in quite some time, someone who could probably help with her current mission. Had Firefly told him that his nephews had gone missing? Probably. Alexey watched him for a brief moment, noticing how he seemed so incredibly caught up in his own train of thoughts. Perhaps now wasn’t the right time to pick on him but she simply couldn’t help herself. The Dahlian girl reached down to grab some snow, shaping the white substance into a perfectly round ball before taking aim at his head and throwing it as hard she could.
