YOU MIGHT NOT FEEL IT NOW

Even as she did it, the doggish hybrid girl knew she'd get bored quickly. She tended to tire of things quickly without company; it amazed her she had existed in that damn void for so long. But she plodded on anyway, swinging her legs in time to speed herself up, feeling the weightlessness as she got higher and higher. The sky was nice, she thought vaguely to herself as she swung, watching the clouds slowly drift by. This was an attempt to distract herself; she was sick of dwelling on things that shouldn't matter anymore. She didn't want to hide forever.

The smell of something -- wolf -- drifted her way and she slowed, the thoughts in her heas silenced as she watched a stranger wander forward towards her from outside the wet, muddy playground. Normally, a wolf would've put Tal on guard, but there were several reasons why this one didn't; first, this one was female, and second, she was very young. Not to mention unshifted, which was always a plus. Dragging a foot in the sand to stop herself, Tal raised a brow at the girl, matching her silence for a few moments before speaking. "Hey," the hybrid said, blinking curiously, "what are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be with your wolf pack?"
