The skies were clear today, something that she was thankful for. She had brought some new things back from the city including some books, stuffed animals, and clothing. Ember could remember that she'd wanted a stuffed animal when she had been little, after seeing some in the old city, Citta Umana, and when she'd seen the shop in Halifax she hadn't been able to resist grabbing a few. There was a stuffed rabbit, a stuffed snake, and a stuffed cat.
She was just putting the items into her home when she heard a thumping sound, and her eyes flicked toward the entrance of the den. Was it a rabbit, or another prey creature...or was it a pack member? Her den was very close to Tayui's, and sometimes the pups wandered over to see her. "Hello?" She called. If it was an animal, it would probably run away. But if it was a pup, then the sound would get closer.
