She often spent time playing with the pups, but hadn't really thought about teaching them anything yet. They were kind of young, just out of the den, and Ember didnt know if that kind of action might confuse them or something. She didn't want to do anything with them that Tayui wouldn't like either, and didn't know what the mother had already gone over with them. Someday they would have to learn how to fend for themselves, though, and why not now?
The dark wolf fell down to the ground dramatically when Noir went for her foot, putting her remaining legs straight up in the air. She was dead! Noir had gotten her. Her tongue lolled out of her mouth and her head rolled to the side. Maybe she could teach the girl a small lesson even with the game that they were playing. She was playing dead, like some prey would do. Opossums did that, she remembered. Ember stayed still, not moving, eyes closed.
