She felt a wave of satisfaction move through her at the screams but didn't pause in her rampage. The blade slammed into her chest, narrowly avoiding a lung or vital organ. The impact coupled with Svara's force was enough to throw the smaller woman off her. Sabeen's head smacked against the ground, hard, making stars flash before her eyes. She lifted her head to look at her daughter and the bloody face and rose to her feet, hovering over the younger girl for a moment. Her visions had faded away but for a faint hum in her ears, soothing the dying rage. The lady turned away from her daughter and crept away, back to her cabin to get high and run her fist through the wall.
