DaVinci had been quite lax on border patrol lately, his own world seeming to belong to some emotions he'd thought he'd left far behind him, but lately they'd reared their heads up to cause quite a bit of trouble for the male and he'd kept to himself for the better part of the moon. The packmembers had managed to find him still when he'd kept inside the packlands so he finally had figured that if he was going to stay within the lands even if he was trying to work out his own troubles he might as well keep up appearances.

He sighed as he walked towards the borders, thinking that perhaps if they pack saw him, they'd leave him the hell alone. Some he didn't mind so much but the ones that were seeking him out for advice and to learn about the past their pack held was too much for the male. The pack was his family and the loss of his mother weighed greatly upon him. It didn't seem to want to go away with the fresh wash of saltwater the pack seemed to think was needed to pour into his wounds by wanting to dig deeper into who she was and how she'd helped to make Phoenix Valley. He didn't want to admit it either, but he really missed his kids and Zana. Having the small ones underfoot had kept him busy and for the most part had kept his own emotions and worries at bay. Who could worry about themselves when there were children to worry about first.

The male's paws brought him at a stroll along the border as a strangely familiar scent drifted from the city. Haven. The hybrid male lifted his head and turned towards the path that lead towards their lands. He was wondering just what one of his sister's kids was doing out this far but he stopped as he realized that they weren't tiny pups anymore and it was probably about time they learn the territories. He grinned to himself and remembered that his son had befriended his cousin that day he'd been off along the edge of Crimson Dreams. He really regretted not getting to see more of the boy but it seemed he was in luck today as the harvest hued boy made his way along the edge of their lands.

"Straying far from home?" he asked with a warm smile as he realized how much Haven had grown since he'd seen him last. DaVinci's heart sank as he realized he'd never even really had a chance to meet the rest of Haven's siblings but he pushed that aside as he made plans to do it whenever he got a chance.
