Haven had always imagined going on some grand adventure. Listening to his uncle explain his time at and across the sea brought those old hopes and aspirations back to the surface. Yet at the same time he knew that he might never do anything like that. He loved his family and being so far away from them, not being able to see them whenever he wanted to, that was a scary thought. He didn't know if he was strong enough to be so separated from the ones he loved. Still, it was interesting hearing this short overview of his uncle's exploits. "Wow, that's really cool DaVinci! Quite the adventure it sounds like." The boy would have loved to hear more, but that would have to wait for another time.
The sky didn't look like anything could happen, but the silvery man was right. You could never depend on the weather to do what you wanted it to. He surely didn't want to get caught in any frigid rain or snow. "Exactly." With a contented sigh he finished his stretching and walked over to the now open door of the house. Haven shot his uncle one last toothy grin. "Hehe, okay. And I will!" He wrapped his arms around DaVinci in a quick hug before he headed outside. Looking back he waved as his feet began to carry him back home to Crimson Dreams. |
