Large round paws thundered across the open plain. It was a mere gale, lacking trees and opening the ground to the morning’s bright sun. She powered through the drifts of snow, small mounds of wind blow flakes that few into the clear air as she hit them with her wide chest. Rolling over the small hill that brown pup stood, ear standing strait waiting for the sound of the invisible invader that she fought.
Never had she been so brave, chasing it from the lake’s edge all the way to the territories boarder. Waking with the sun’s dawn, she watched as the streaking light chased the shadows from every corner. They were friends, she and the large orange globe. They had spent many a morning fighting the darkness of night, sending it to bed for the day. But, she had sworn that there had been something else, with an evil aura. The violet eyed fey was determined to send it back to where ever it had come from.
