Urgency rang through his body sending pulses of electricity through his veins. The danger was real, it was now. The large body started pumping adrenaline into every cell, every scintilla of energy adding up to form a powerful being. Worrying eyes watched Mati cry, his heart breaking and fighting for the girl, the princes as the pups had so named her. “It's okay Mati, he wont touch you with me here.” He promised hugging the girl into his chest. She needed to get out of here, to get to safety. The Captain's mind whirled looking for an answer of what to do. He could tell Mati to run and hope she got away and home or he could run with her and be sure that she made it to Naniko.

A sudden fire sent shocks up his arm as the brute buried his teeth into his flesh. A howl of pain escaped him as he lifted his muzzle into the air with a cry. His knife dropped to the muddy snow cover floored. His head started to pound as his vision blurred, the blood gushing from the wound and the beat held his grip. “Run Mati! Go home!” He growled, amber eyes darting to her in alert and then returning to the large halfling wolf. If biting was how he wanted to play, biting it would be. With a sharp warning growl he lashed out digging his own teeth into the exposed neck of his attacker. Still concerned for the pup he began to push the brute towards the boarder, one heavy shove at a time all the while digging into his neck and holding the beast in a comfortable head lock. “Leave the girl alone you little shit.” He whispered with a snarl. There was noway he would allow this creature to lay a paw on anyone of Crimson Dreams.
