The Haku Cercelee relationship was an odd one, and Haku understood it least of all. He usually kept his promises if he tried, but he was also able to break them. It was not yet time for such a move though, but it would probably come in the future. This visit to the coyote clan had not been pointless in the man’s opinion. Tension was ever present, but they both knew it was fragile, and that the possibility of spilled blood was there, although there would be no conflict that would grow into a war. No, not yet. Damn that white female with the blue eyes. He took in Gabriel’s threat, and simply shrugged it away. It was quite possible Gabe would be the one to close his jaws around the cocoa male’s throat, but this belonged to the future. The rest the other man said did not matter, this was over. ”I’m glad you’ll have someone to run to.” Haku could be a childish bastard, but as long as it gave him some sense of odd satisfaction, he did not feel the need to be above such things. Haku made a quick gesticulation with his head to Kol. This was over. Her part had been a boring one, but it would have been impossible to pull such a meeting off without a third party. The secui turned and left, shortened tail waving contently behind him, a constant reminder of the insanity that seemed to live in all coyotes.
