Kind mommies say monsters don't exist [m]

It wasn’t until the monster turned his attention away from her friend that Alexey realized how terrified she really was. For a split moment, she’d thought Kol was going to give in and let him close his jaws around her neck. Now that the Stormbringer girl was out of harm’s way, Lexey struggled to remain on top of her opponent. She too, wanted him to suffer. Her eyes were shut tight, it was the only way she could control the overwhelming dizziness that came with his endless thrashing.

She could hear Kol’s screams but fury kept her hanging on. Instead of listening to her roommate, Lexey dug her claws deeper into the male’s skin. It was only when her opponent’s body started changing dramatically that she slightly loosened her grip. What the hell was going on? Honey-hued eyes suddenly snapped open as she tried to make sense of it all. Dear god! Even after all of this, the brute still had enough strength left in him to shift.

If it wasn’t for Kol’s rash decision to knock her off the enemy, the Koios girl would’ve probably landed herself in quite a heap of trouble. Although the idea of running away did not exactly please her, she finally gave in and made a run for it; they were both safe now and that’s what really mattered.
