It was nice to see it go. Her heart would be happy to let it all melt away. The snow was soft, where it was still frozen, and threatening to melt each day the degrees ticked upward. The rain helped, and Anu was glad to see that the season was so close to truly changing. The winter had been a hard one, though the snows and storms hadn’t been too frequent or overbearing and prey had always been plentiful. It had been one of transition and change. Two things that Anu did not deal with well. Still she had grown from them, and slowing moving passed the things that had uprooted her life and scattered its pieces. She had no one but herself to blame for all the disruption.

Four paws took her through the forests that speckled the Crimson Dreams landscape. It had been sometime since she had checked the boarders that kept the pack safe and secure. The lands had been expanding as their numbers did, and she cut through new territory, making her way to one of her favorite, though lease visited, places. It was a hike, but her lean frame found the journey nothing but relaxing.

Taking the rocks one at a time she focused on the landscape instead of the whirling thoughts that constantly berated her mind. The smallest of buds, little leaves wrapped around themselves, dotted the trees crooked fingers. Smiling at the small hint of spring she climbed until the rocks grew flat. Black claws clicked over the flat surface of the limestone, and blue eyes opened to find the entire territory expanded out below her. The view forever inviting, she sat and settled while taking in the welcomed silence.
