Wait for a new day, a new year.

The weather change was really beginning to frighten her. Siobhan wasn't sure what was going on with the snow...the fact that it was dissapearing was so odd to her. She was from the far north, where it stayed snowy all year around--where the only types of precipitation were snow, sleet, or hail, and where the color green simply did not exist. Everything was white white white, all the time. She felt like she was beginning to stick out more from the surroundings, like she couldn't hide any more like she had once been able to. Prey would be able to spot her easily now.

She sighed as she trudged along through the slush, unused to the feeling of grass beneath her paws. Every couple of minutes she would reach a patch that was entirely grass and mud, and her paws would sink down into it an inch or so. Her ears were back and a frown sat upon her face; each step that the young adult made created a gross sucking sound, a sound that she didn't like one bit.

She came to a rocky area soon enough, though, and lept up onto the stones greatfully. She'd come here looking for Haven, so that she might see the place that he lived and explore it with him (if he would allow it), and she didn't want to be all muddy for it. She wanted him to see her looking her best. The necklace that he had given her swung back and forth on her neck, the collection of red gems sparkling in the light. She had brought something for him today, but she didn't know if he would like it. It was something that she thought that a boy would like, stuck into a bag that she was carrying on her back.

The small, unshifted coyote made her way along the rocks, leaving a trail of muddy pawprints behind her. She'd never seen the border of Crimson Dreams from this direction before, and wasn't sure how far she would have to go before she would find someone else.
