Wait for a new day, a new year.

Her mother had always called her ugly, and at times she still feared that she was. She looked nothing like either of her parents, from what she had gathered from the fleeting glances she had gotten of her in-and-out dad, and nothing like anyone she had met yet here in these lands. Looking different was bad, was horrible. In the winter time she had been able to blend in with all of the snow and ice, something that was very useful, but now her coat color just made her feel useless and ugly.

If there was one thing that she really liked about Haven, though, it was that he never made her feel anything but happy. Every time they were together they had such a good time. Even if they were just sitting there talking. There were other things that they would do too, like jumping on beds and exploring giant abandoned ships, and everything was wonderful when she was with him. He never made her feel ugly or unwanted, and really listened to what she had to say.

"Siobhan is my name. You are...Anu?" He had spoken so much about her--and very highly about her, too. She knew that this one had to be Anu because he had described Naniko as being white, like she was. "But you, Siobhan has not heard of"She said to the other wolf. Was he a scout of some sort, perhaps?
