He shouldn't be out here. It had been a foolish thing to leave the city this night. His wound was far from healed and his body far from recovered. Some strength had returned to him, but not enough. If he ran into that creature again it would be the end of him. Hell, if he was attacked by anyone it might be the end of him. The coyote was still too weak to defend himself effectively. So why had he felt such an urge to come here? To leave the safety the concrete provided him? It had been one of those feelings he got. One he knew that it was foolish to ignore. But still, which decision was more foolish he wondered. Only time would tell. A scent caught him. It was not one familiar to him, but it did carry the trademark of Inferni. It would have been smarter to avoid the being completely, but his interest got the best of him. The man was quiet as he cautiously approached. Then the beast yelled. Not only yelled, but yelled utter nonsense. Onus flexed his hands, the left one angry with the effort. This male was mad and yet still he decided to speak to it. "Who are you talking to?" the man asked, standing near a large tree. If things seemed there were going to turn towards the hostile he could climb it, though he hoped it wouldn't come to that. It would set his wound on fire and undo some of the healing.  |
