Hybrid gave the coyote a quick, curt nod in reply. He had nothing else to say, and so he waited for a few seconds after the creature spoke, wondering if he would say anything else. He did not. Hybrid gave the coyote one last look -- to make sure he remembered him -- and committed the creature's scent to memory. He would remember if this fellow came around looking for him (or the starred canine) again.



With nothing to say in reply, Hybrid shrugged, and then paused for a moment. "Good, good," he mumbled. He turned, then set off in the direction of Halifax. He had come out all this way; he might as well go find something to do. He yawned, then set off at a slow, loping pace in the direction of the abandoned city. Maybe he would find himself a monster. He grinned.
