just the good ol' boys

He was glad to leave the overwhelming commotion of the party behind him. He had made his appearance, caught up with his sister, and been there when Alexey had proudly made mention to the entire get-together that the couple was now official. He had expected her to do the typical girly motions of telling anyone and everyone she knew, but he hadn't expected one huge declaration to the entire pack at one moment. The sudden attention on him, barely a stranger to nearly every member of Dahlia, became instantly uncomfortable. Drey was never one for epic social gatherings anyway. He was usually the quiet shadow looming in the background keeping an eye out for a rowdy trouble-maker, or brooding silently in a corner with an aura of "don't even think about coming over" surrounding him. He enjoyed a good time well enough, as his sister so often liked to remind him in regards to the company he'd never found himself lacking, but the overwhelming atmosphere of a party crowd was just not his style. He'd made his appearance, and now he wanted nothing more than to go off somewhere and share the night with just him and the unopened bottle of whiskey in his hand.

Upon leaving the get-together, Drey had quietly slipped back to the house and grabbed the bottle before slipping back out into the night. The delightful scent of roasting meat still permeated the atmosphere, but the male had no current appetite for anything but the alcohol. It took him awhile of walking to try to find a good solitary spot to spend the night, and apparently he wasn't the only one who thought it was perfect. Drey paused as he caught movement ahead, the form of the chocolate Lilium barely visible in the dark night. Kol had told Drey a great deal about the Lilium she admired, and now seemed like the perfect opportunity to get to know him for himself. Bottle of Jack in hand, the Stormbringer made his way nonchalantly over to the blue-eyed male, hoping he wasn't intruding but ready to excuse himself politely if the head scout truly wished to be alone.
