At Giggle’s summons, the Aquila quickened his pace. He had been, as he most commonly was, patrolling and re-marking the borders. Nothing out of the ordinary had really occurred; the white-tail deer had been moving through their lands, and having marked their movement, he intended to later take one down. Shaking the dry grass from his coat, the hybrid soon came across the pair—one gray and purple, the other dark. What caught his attention, though, was the young girl’s eyes.
