OOC: Set in Ila Harbor 300+

The grey wolf stood stoically by the water's edge. Everything around seemed so calm, he could hardly tell that the pack had grown so much. Every time he seemed to walk around Wolfville he would spot another unfamiliar face. It made him wonder, almost, exactly what kind of responsibilities he was going to hold in the pack if he couldn't even tell who his packmates were. Sighing, Lubomir tried to take his mind off such annoying things. Not because he couldn't deal with them, not really. More it was a choice of not losing his sanity. He could feel the need in his blood again, the desire to run and hide as far away as possible. Somewhere cold and dead, with no sound and colour, where he could lose himself into the earth. It was not a desire to die, because he would not want to make Mew grieve. It was not because he could not handle being in Dahlia. It was, simply, a melancholy of sorts, something akin to wanting to escape to some far away island and live the dream. Exactly what dream that was he couldn't be sure.

Ever since meeting Catharsis, Lubomir had started thinking about pups. He wasn't ready to breach the subject yet, partly because his mate might not feel the same, and partly because he wasn't sure he actually wanted some of his own. He could do very well as an uncle, a reclusive sort of figure who chased them around and made them laugh, only to hide away in his den when they became too noisy, but were those good traits in a father? He couldn't imagine leaving Mew to raise the pups alone unless he wanted to be banished. Besides, his own conscience wouldn't allow him to make such a dirty move. Still, he wasn't entirely sure if this was the way forward. He was hiding this from her and sooner or later his own heart would make him blurt it out at just the wrong time.

Looking out over the bay and the setting sun, Lubomir had to wonder: love was meant to be something natural, children were a product of love. So why was it so damn hard to let go of all inhibitions and speak his mind?
