Phasma.

Dusk settling in over Jaded Shadows had brought a reminder from home in the form of a cawing, rather annoying creature. The noise alone that the bird made was enough to draw Sedition out from his carving in the commons and surprisingly no one else seemed to emerge to examine the racket yet. The crow perched atop the branch near the pack den had looked eerily familiar and after a closer observation he noticed the tiny sliver of paper that was Vorr's trademark. Even as the reigning alpha of Berowick she still found a way to bother her younger brother from afar. Bowing low to Daniels, Vorraussetzung's main companion bird he straightened and found the crow daintily perched on his silver shoulder so he could take the piece of paper.

As a messenger Daniels excelled, as a friendly creature -- he failed. He was a rather obtrusive and demanding creature, who's only reason for existing was obtaining food and Sedition surely thought, annoying those who weren't bird lovers. Rooting in his small satchel he gave the bird a small piece of wood scratched with the charcoal stick he used for carving and sent him off. Since they were younger it had been the confirmation that he had received the message and that Daniels had once again done his job properly. Blue eyes watched as black charcoal bird took wing towards the southwest, as the crow flies of a path he had traveled three times now. Sedition knew that there was meat waiting back in Berowick for the crow and knew by the quick flight that he had been wanting it since he left.

Unraveling the piece of paper he saw the quick message, a basic 'how everyone was' and bragging that the job as alpha wasn't nearly as hard as she had believed it would be. Smiling he put the paper in his satchel along with his tools. He found himself suddenly relieved. His sister was fine, his home was fine and he could begin again at Jaded Shadows without regrets. It was a nice feeling. Heading back into the den and emerging minutes later with his claimed prize from the city he set down to rosin the bow of the slightly cracked fiddle. The rosin had been the difficult part, and although the fiddle was no Stradivarius it played. Tongue set in between his teeth he started to tune it, the feeling of a home-sung tune beginning to wander into his mind. It was as though he had been waiting for confirmation of 'all is well' from Vorr and now he could settle back into his familiar role as a musician, dancer and carver. All the comforts of home and another chance to meet those who called the Bleeding Souls landscape home. Now he just had to work on hunting so he wouldn't starve.
