He felt restless. Always. There were insects crawling underneath his skin, driving him insane. The Lilium of Dahlia had only one son remaining in his possession. Conor had fled and not come back, and after a quick investigation, the failed father had found the boy’s scent leading to Alexey’s house. All the man had to say about that was ‘good riddance’. He had never been carved out to be a father, and so he no longer attempted to pretend. It was useless. They were still living in Dahlia, strengthening the pack’s number. This was the only thing that mattered, a fact that could reveal to an extent how cold and emotionless the Dahlian secui really was.

Dark clouds gathered in the horizon. He could taste the unshed rain on his tongue, could almost smell the refreshed air that would remain after the sky had scattered its rain over the world beneath. Although relatively close to the southeast borders, the male was not in the mood for border patrol. Kol and Drey had vanished. Everyone that had an important part to play vanished or turned weak. There was rage within his body, although it was buried deep, slowly growing. Frustration. Aggravation. Things seemed to slowly drift apart, refusing to be controlled. It was rather annoying. The secui slowly moved through the tall grass, wondering if the rabbit further ahead knew that death was close by.
