hover through the fog and filthy air

She had manipulated plenty of canines in her lifetime; all of them had somewhat idolized her to the point where they would’ve gotten on their knees, had she requested such a thing from them. Brainless disciplines. None of them had been anything like Haku Soul. For a brief moment, the madwoman had forgotten that she wasn’t the one in charge. And thus, when his answer didn’t sound anything like the veneration she’d expected out of him, Lillith found herself taken aback. She knew that in reality, he’d do quite a few things to please her. However, those things would be executed out of his own free will and bloodlust. Not because he regarded her as his superior. This was something she constantly reminded herself of; one wrong move and she would lose him.

Lillith knew how lucky she was to have the male by her side. Her intentions were pure when it came to her blue-eyed beast. Never would she purposely push him away. Manipulation and deceit were ingrained in her personality; it would take some work, but she’d eventually adjust to having a companion. It was a good thing they weren’t directly facing each other, because her face registered a wide range of emotions. And she wouldn’t have wanted him to see her expression. Hence why she lingered near his neck and ear, a safe haven where she could regain her composure. What he might’ve noticed was the way her body had tensed at his reply. The Stormbringer femme exhaled through her nose and closed her eyes, enjoying the proximity they shared for a few moments.

When she reopened them, those aquamarine orbs mirrored a severity she very rarely displayed in his presence. She suddenly pulled back; taking a few steps away from the man she appreciated so. “A sinner, not too far away from here,” she concluded, allowing this bit of information to sink in before continuing. She’d observed the target for several days; a pupiless male with a speech impediment and a teddy bear named Boo. His eyes, although different in coloration, reminded the crazed femme of Dahlia de Mai’s third in command. An unfortunate resemblance for him. What irked Lillith most were the scars adorning his body: clearly defined cuts and gashes, as if he’d inflicted himself with them. This assumption was all she needed to act. It was quite clear: the coward did not appreciate his life enough. As stated before, Lillith was a considerate woman. She would deliver him from a life he hated, free of charge!

Her right hand opened in order to reveal a vial of essential oils; eucalyptus, to be exact. She’d already indulged herself in it, masking her own smell before the Lilium’s arrival. Now it was his turn. Without a word, she extended the substance to her partner in crime. “You’ll need it if you don’t want to get in trouble,” she explained, in reference to the Rosea and most particularly, the Adonis.
